Main bedroom with queen size bed was roomy.
Second bedroom with two single beds is quite small.
Very comfortable beds.
Bathroom worked well. Good hot water and towels etc.
Kitchen looking a bit tired, but was functional for our needs.
Comfortable meals and sitting area.
Nice balcony, although no outdoor seating, so took indoor seating outside. Not a big issue.
We would stay here again.
Disliked: Quite a bit of street noise at night time, but I slept well once asleep.

In 3 months travelling Australia, St Ives was the nicest accomodation we stayed in QLD, NSW, VIC & S AUS. it was not super fancy but was convenient, friendly, all amenities were absolutely functional, and very well laid out. Location was near harbour, market, museums & botannical garden so we could leave car parked & walk everywhere. As said, St Ives was the best hotel experience we had in Australia.

Room was clean, check-in super smooth, great little apartment for a few days stay with super friendly staff. Daily housekeeping including coffee and tea in a spot that you could comfortably live for a while. Awesome location about 7 minute walk to the heart of Salamanca. Will become my regular stay for Hobart.

Liked: Location is excellent short walk to Salamanca or Sandy Bay or even Hobart CBD. Ideal location if you are doing the annual Point to Pinnacle or Point to pub which my wife was doing.
Good parking, nice friendly staff easy check in and good value.
Rooms neat and tidy and more than adequate for a two night stay.
Disliked: Not necessarily the owners problem but the room above us seemed like the occupants were wearing army boots

Liked: Perfect location, less than a ten minute walk from salamanca and less than fifteen minutes from the cbd. Staff were fantastic, and the kitchen was fully equipped.
Disliked: Found a few clumps of hair stuck the wall of the bathroom upon arrival. Bathroom also had a funny smell to it that didn’t go away throughout my stay.

Liked: Oversized rooms with nice outlook, lovely staff who fulfilled everything I asked of them, with onsite parking. Great location, pretty close to the Casino in one direction and very close to Salamanca, the Hobart ferry wharfs, and Hobart CBD on the other.

Room was fine and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful - in particular Vin. However, something needs to be done with acoustics. We stayed on the 1st floor and it felt like we had a herd of elephants trampling on the ceiling for most of the evening. Whether or not there were kids above us or the guests were heavy footed, we’ve not experienced this kind of noise in apartments previously. Obviously, you expect some noise with slamming doors etc but nothing as bad as what we experienced.

Overall roomy, comfortable and convenient. However, outside was extremely windy and the air conditioning rattled horribly. There may be something loose in the ducting and/or the roof skylight. We’d definitely stay here on our next trip.

Liked: Off street parking, close to the entrance of the building is great. The location is a relatively comfortable 10 minute walk to Salamanca Place and some great little restaurants in Battery Point. There’s a bottle shop situated very close by and the locally produced merino wool shop, Smitten, is located across the road. A balcony with an opening door and window allows you to enjoy the fresh Tasmanian air. ☺️ Our bed was very comfortable (we asked for a room with the larger size bed) and the small kitchenette had everything we needed.

Liked: Good Value for money on the whole. Free parking which is a real bonus. And the staff kindly organised a mattress topper which was greatly appreciated as it made the bed then really comfortable. Spacious and light filled rooms, always sparkingly clean. It is also in a good location - only an 8 -10 min walk to Salamanca and less to beautiful Battery Point cafes.
Disliked: We stay here often as its usually well priced and good value and in a good location as well as offering free parking, which can be costly at some Hobart hotels. It is a no frills motel however, so don't expect a mini bar or extras. The rooms do have a fridge and basic self catering facilties though, which is great. The staff are usually polite and helpful.
To be fair to St Ives this was our first awful experience staying here. The heating wasn't working properly so that the room was freezing when we got in after an evening out. The wall controls were broken as it turned out unbeknown to us. We eventually managed with help from the hotel manager over the phone to get the controls working sufficiently to get heat into the room. We put the heater up to 27 degrees to quickly heat up the room, but it took forever to heat. By 11 pm still cold, I ended up having to sleep with my clothes on to keep warm (there was only a single blanket and sheet on the bed, no Doona). There was one spare blanket in the BIR which we used too, but it was insufficient to keep us warm. Then by 4 am, the room become too hot waking us up, but because the controls weren't working properly we weren't able to reduce the temperature so we couldn't get back to sleep. We both barely slept that night because of what happened and felt terrible the next day. I felt genuinely ill I was so exhausted. As it was our first bad experience staying here we weren't going to write this review BUT the manager on duty the next morning did NOT only NOT apologise for what happened, he clearly couldn't give a fig about it from his dismissive manner, and that was upsetting, particularly as we are regular and loyal guests. We were very disappointed and upset by this - a genuine heartfelt apology was all we were asking for!
This incidence was a blip though it has to be said. Not all duty manager's would have responded that way. Usually, staying here is pleasant and event free.

We really enjoyed having having an enormous window with a magnificent view of an expanse of open sky - and Kunanyi. The other big plus (apart from the immaculate cleanliness and overall comfort of the apartment), was the walkability of everything we wanted to see and do - cafes and restaurants, galleries and museums, music, coffee, beautiful scenery, shops ... It was all right there at the doorstep. A perfect place to stay.

Liked: It has its own parking lot with plenty of spaces - free of charge. I even noticed (but didn't use) a few EV charging spaces. The kitchen is well equipped. The stovetop is great. We like the TV set which supports casting from phones. Daily room cleanup service is included. The Liquorland store next door offers great choices of liquor.

The room was amazing with in-built aircon and tons of amenities due to the kitchenette. It felt really nice.
The bathroom was large and had an amazing shower. There were bonus services and amenities such as washing and drying services.
View was homely and nice. Nice sound proofing overall - can only hear people in the hallway, but nothing from other rooms.
Location was relatively close to city centre without being overly expensive.
The kitchenette and added shower lines, washing and drying services really enabled us to stay for longer periods of time.

Liked: Spacious room that had everything we needed. Although we were on the ground floor and didn't have a balcony, we did have a little courtyard that allowed light in, which was nice. The location is excellent, a short walk to Salamanca, the pier, the CBD, anywhere we wanted to walk to. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also really happy with the free parking, most other properties charged a fee per day for parking so this was excellent! Would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Liked: Great location, close to everything we needed. Lovely staff, super neat & tidy, and very clean. Comfort beds and pillows which is always a bonus.
Disliked: My only gripe was we were 3 people and only 2 towels were in our room. We didn’t notice until very early the next morning on our way to an event and when l called to get another one l was told to go down to laundry to grab a spare only to find there were no spares there and no one on the property to help until after we had to leave. Abit annoying but we managed.

We have stayed here a number of times...we like the kitchenette for cooking...the units are always spotless clean and you can walk to Salamanca..Reception staff & cleaning staff are friendly & very helpful Good value

Liked: Great location, only a short walk or drive to the city center or sandy bay. Great facilities inside each apartment.
Disliked: The beds were slightly uncomfortable but that is because I'm used to a softer matress. The car park for upstairs is a bit difficult to enter.

Liked: Our studio apartment was spacious, comfortable, clean, and had all we needed for our 4 night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was great to have free on site car parking. Location is great, an easy walk to Salamanca and Battery Point.

Liked: The location was fantastic. Far enough from the city centre to avoid any noise but close enough to pop into town in a matter of minutes. The studio room was large enough for a comfortable 4 night stay. The laundry facilities were greatly appreciated 😊

Liked: Location was great, a short walk to Salamanca Place, Sandy Bay Rd shops and a reasonably easy walk in to the city. Room was spacious, generally quiet and comfortable - bed not withstanding. Ample parking, so no battling for spots even later at night.
Disliked: Bed was super soft, I prefer a firmer bed.

Disliked: The layout in the room I stayed in, was unusual this it due to old style of room but the management were excellent in helping adjust anything that was needed / you just ask and they are very helpful and friendly

Liked: The location was superb, right in the centre of Hobart. The rooms were a little small but the beds were super comfortable and the loungeroom/kitchen was large and spacious.
Disliked: Nothing as the weather was poor but it was nice inside.

Pros: very clean, good location, spacious, daily housekeeping, good communication, friendly staff, free parking for your stay, free internet Cons: Not much but if I had to pick then one potential drawback is the TV's Chromecast setup, which can be a bit finicky for non-tech-savvy users. Specifically, it doesn't always detect certain phones, which can be frustrating. While it's not a deal-breaker, it might benefit from some user-friendly tweaks or additional guidance for guests.
