Disliked · I left my card in the room so I had to get security to come and let me in back into my room. The next day I went and got breakfast come back into the office and was asked what room I was in rudely and was told it cost $60 dollars for someone to let me in my room when it only to 2 minutes

Liked · Room was a great size, bed was big and comfortable and even on the 1st floor it felt very safe. The room was well equipped, lots of kitchen utensils, cups, bowls, iron, ironing board, microwave, kettle and teas / coffees. Bathroom was really clean and had soap and lots of towels that were replaced when the room got serviced. The staff were very helpful, we were able to check in a few hours early and leave our bags with them after check out. The location was great and easy to find, 10 mins walk from the busier parts of Hobart, less than 10 mins walk from a supermarket too. Would definitely stay here again!

So much to like.

Room was very well appointed, very clean, bed was comfortable, plenty of easy to access PowerPoints, and onsite parking was easy and plentiful. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin and I could hear every movement in the neighbouring rooms.

Liked · Our room was clean, and we liked the flexibility of having a small kitchen with a stove top and microwave. The apartments are a short walk from the Salamanca area, and the bed was very comfortable.

Disliked · We had a ground floor and the kids upstairs kept running around right up to 11pm at night then back up early the next morning. The walls are not very well soundproof at all you get woken up by people flushing toilets. Carpark exits are tight for cars if they are larger family cars.

Liked · The location was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful with any queries. Nearby Battery Point restaurants and cafes were ideal for what we were after. Walking distance into Salamanca and the cbd were great too. The room was comfy, especially the bed. Cooking facilities were ideal for simple meal prep.

Disliked · It might seem petty, but for a self-caterer like me, I would have loved a plastic chopping board.

Located at Battery Point, there are nice cafes and shops nearby, and it was conveniently close to the city center. The room was also clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with an electric kettle, microwave, stove, refrigerator, pots and tableware. There was a washing machine (with detergent) and a dryer in the hotel, which was helpful as I was able to do laundry during my trip.

Disliked · Parking lot and reception need a little effort to find. Be patient and careful not to miss the vehicle entrances which has a small signage.

Liked · Clean. Lift was quick and uncomplicated. Security bailed me out and got me back in my room quickly when I arrived back late (a bit after 9pm) and had left my hotel key inside the room. This came with a $60 fee though.

Disliked · I didn’t like that there was no reception after 9pm. Car park. My Ute couldn’t turn in the exit space without risking damage so I had to break the rules and exit via the bottle shop every day.

Liked · Already reviewed this property. Previously wrote about my experience as one of 3 adults in a 2-Bedroom Superior Apartment. Stayed 3 nights and would do so again.

Liked · Great location in Battery Point, close to Salamanca Markets(10minute walk), Brooke Street Pier(15 minute walk), Sandy Bay(5 minute drive to shopping precinct, Coles and lots of cafes and restaurants) AND the casino at Wrest Point, with restaurants, bars and entertainment(10 minute drive). Friendly Reception/Front of House welcome. Check-in efficiently managed for 2 different accommodations booked. All 5 adults in our travelling group were given keys to the accommodation they were assigned. Housekeeping Staff were always smiling and happy to engage in conversation whilst going about their duties. Off street parking was provided in one of 2 areas, so that there were options to be close to your accommodation for packing and unpacking. The bathroom was spacious, well equipped with a large mirror and had a non-slip shower mat. The beds were comfortable and the linen was of good quality. Being able to open doors onto a decent sized balcony, was appreciated, as was the ability to open, by winding out windows, on both the bottom and top sections of the 2 bedroom, double storey apartment we stayed in. There were a couple of warmer days during our stay and to allow for natural ventilation was really welcome.

Disliked · Access to a power point in the single bedroom was difficult because it was located at floor level in the room, under the bedside cabinet. An older person, someone with mobility issues or someone needing to connect an electronic device such as a sleep apnea machine or even to recharge a mobile phone, would have struggled to utilise this power source. The bed making wasn’t the best. It was clear sheets and covers were simply pulled up without any attempt to sort out the struggles of the sleepers from the previous night. On two occasions, each night over a weekend, there was considerable noise coming from children in a room on the second floor. There was loud screaming, raucous laughter, lots of thumping noises and running around, which seemed to be unsupervised by any adult. I understand that there is a “party” policy that adult guests are bound to. Therefore I think it is a reasonable expectation that guests, with children, ensure their behaviour is not disruptive of the peace and quiet of others.

Disliked · The receptionist when we arrived was not too helpful. We were let into our room while a maintenance person was in there. He was extremely friendly and we chatted to him while he finished up the work in the room. But it was weird the receptionist did not tell us the room wasn't ready and wasn't too forthcoming with information.

Liked · Spacious room with kitchenette. Excellent location - less than 10 mins walk to Salamanca Place (Salamanca Markets) and the MONA Ferry. We didn't have a car with us but car parking was included. We appreciated that they had an easy late checkin procedure in place as our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight.

Disliked · Nothing that needed improvement, just a few things to be aware of: the beds are quite soft, which some people love but doesn't suit everyone, and pedestrian access to reception is through a carpark (adjacent to a bottleshop driveway/carpark) which can get busy, so take care when walking through with children. When housekeeping came through on the second day, they didn't replenish our teabags, but they made up for it the next day by giving us eight!
