How do I book a hotel room at St Ives Apartments?
To book your hotel apartment in Tasmania, simply click the ‘Book Now’ button found across our website. This will take you to our booking hotel page where you can select your dates and pay for your hotel booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
We only accept Master Card, Visa Card and American Express. Cash payments are not accepted.
Can I pay when I arrive at the hotel?
You must pay the one-night deposit in advance to secure your booking. The rest of your payment will be charged when you arrive at the hotel. Please note, a payment method must be entered to be able to book online.

What times are your reception open?
Our reception is open 8am to 9pm each day, with 24hr phone reception available for afterhours.
Do you have any last minute hotel deals?
To see our latest price offers, please click on our ‘Best Prices & Availability’ link in our menu. We aim to always offer affordable and competitive pricing on our Hobart accommodation in Tasmania.
What are your hotel’s check-in times?
Our general check-in time is 2pm to 8pm. However, please let us know when booking your hotel apartment what time you expect to arrive so we can make sure everything is ready for you.
What are your hotel’s check-out times?
Our general check-out times are 8am to 10am. If you need more time, please let us know in the comments when booking your hotel room.
Does your hotel have a lift?
Yes, however the lift only services certain hotel rooms. The other rooms are accessed by stairs only. If you require a room with lift access, please mention this at the time of booking.
Is your hotel accessible? Do you have wheelchair access?
Yes, we have wheelchair access to selected rooms. For specific enquiries, we recommend calling ahead to confirm before booking. Please note that our two-story apartments have bedrooms upstairs.
Do you have parking available?
Yes, we offer free parking with all our hotel bookings. Parking is off the street and close to the hotel entrance.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer free cancellation on all hotel bookings, as long as you let us know 24 hours before your scheduled arrival. If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of your arrival, you will only be charged for one night’s accommodation.
Does your hotel have wi-fi?
Yes, we offer all our guests free wi-fi. A password will be provided on your arrival.
Does your hotel have an air conditioner/heat pump?
Yes, all hotel apartments are installed with an air conditioner/heat pump.
What kitchen facilities do your rooms have?
Our apartment kitchenettes are equipped with a Toaster, Fridge/Freezer, Stovetop, Sink, Kitchenware, Electric Kettle, Cleaning Products and a Microwave.
What is your hotel’s smoking policy?
Our hotel has a non-smoking policy for all hotel rooms.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, we have a guest card-operated laundry facility available. We also offer a Dry Cleaning Service for an additional fee.
Can children stay at St Ives Apartments?
Yes, children of any age are welcome. Our hotel is well-suited for families. Please note, children of 3+ years are charged as adults at our hotel.
Do you have baby cots available?
Cots are available on request at an additional cost. Please request this in your booking notes.
Prices for cots are not included in the total booking price, and will have to be paid for separately during your stay. All cots are subject to availability.
Are you able to provide extra beds to a hotel apartment?

Can pets stay at St Ives Apartments?
No, sorry, we do not allow pets.
Does your hotel have private bathrooms?
Yes, each apartment has its own bathroom.
Does your hotel experience road noise?
Some of our apartments are close to Sandy Bay Road, which can cause some road noise. If you prefer a quieter apartment, please request one further from the road in your booking notes. We will do our best to accommodate you.
How far is St Ives Apartments from the centre of Hobart?
Our accommodation is 1.1km from the centre of Hobart. It’s roughly a 6-minute drive, 15-minute bus ride or 20-minute walk from the Hobart City Centre.
How many guests can sleep in a room at St Ives?
You can choose between 2, 3 or 4 guest accommodation options. Please see our room options for more details.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes. Just have a chat with our reception staff if you need to store your luggage.
Do you offer breakfast?
We offer continental breakfast packs for a small fee. Just ask reception.
Are your rooms cleaned daily?
Yes, we do room service daily.
Is your Battery Point accommodation close to Salamanca Place?
If you are looking for apartments near Salamanca Hobart, then St Ives Hotel Apartments is a great option. Our Hobart apartments are just 850 metres from Salamanca Place and the famous Salamanca Market.
What is the walking distance from Salamanca to Battery Point?
The walking distance from Salamanca to our hotel’s Battery Point accommodation is approximately 10 minutes. However, please be aware you will need to walk up a hill from Salamanca to our accommodation.
Are there restaurants near St Ives Apartments in Hobart?
Yes, there lots of restaurants near St Ives Apartments. Explore Salamanca Place, Battery Point or head into Sandy Bay for plenty of dining options to choose from including Da Angelo Ristorante, Syra Restaurant, and Me Wah.
Are there Supermarkets near St Ives Apartments?
Yes, there is a Salamanca Fresh Supermarket in Salamanca place, as well as Coles and Woolsworth supermarkets along Sandy Bay Road.
Are there any petrol stations near your hotel apartments?
There is an independent petrol station located on the corner of Sandy Bay Road and Hampden Road. There is also a United Petrol Station and Shell Petrol Station further along Sandy Bay Road.
